Grupo Index has a long history of success in promoting solutions in the forest and environmental areas, for companies throughout Brazil. This story began in 1971, when Professor Antônio Albino Ramos created Confal – Consultoria Florestal Brasileira, the oldest company in the industry still operating in the country.

After decades of activity throughout the Brazilian territory and having created a name that has become a reference for different generations of companies, Confal’s directors decided to continue and write a new chapter in this history of achievements, with the creation of the Grupo Index, the which incorporates the companies Index Florestal, Index Ambiental and Forest2Market do Brasil.

In 2022, Grupo Index became a member of SIF (Sociedade de Investigações Florestais), a renowned institution that promotes development, research and innovation in the forestry sector.
